I had lunch with David K. today at Hokkaido restaurant in the heart of the Japanese district, near Rue St. Anne. The chefs are pretty proficient in handling fire as they flash-cook your meal before your eyes. My favorite at the moment is Yakiudon, a delicious mixture of rice noodles, veggies and thin slices of steak.

David is a theoretical physicist dealing with Supersymmetry, Parton Showers, String Theory, and the like. Besides his passions for physics, he is an expert on optics, imagery and the capacity and limits of software applications that correct the many types of distortions caused by camera lenses. This makes for great talk and perhaps even a good business model.
