Alex devel­ops social media ini­tia­tives and net­works from busi­ness plan­ning to launch. He co-founded and runs a world­wide com­mu­nity for physi­cians, VoxMed. He is the co-author of “Secur­ing The Clicks: Net­work Secu­rity in the Age of Social Media”. A Pro­fes­sor at the Uni­ver­sity of Miami, School of Com­mu­ni­ca­tions, Alex teaches a course on social media. Based in Miami, Florida, he orga­nizes The Startup Forum, Social Media Club, Bar­Camp, and Mobile Mon­day mee­tups and con­fer­ences for South Florida new media pro­fes­sion­als, and is a found­ing mem­ber of Refresh­Mi­ami. Alex obtained an MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France, and speaks Eng­lish, French, Por­tuguese, Span­ish and Finnish.
